Steve Wilburn is the founding pastor of Core Church Los Angeles, launched in 2010 with his wife, Laurie, on the Westside of LA. With a passion for preaching the Gospel and a commitment to teaching God’s Word with boldness and relevance, Steve brings messages that are both challenging and engaging. His enthusiastic style and deep-rooted biblical knowledge resonate with people from all walks of life.

Steve gave his life to Christ at the age of 18 after a turbulent season following his parents’ divorce. Having experienced the emptiness of life apart from God, he now holds tightly to the Bible as the ultimate truth and guide. It was at church that he met Laurie—his wife of over 40 years. Together, they’ve raised four children and enjoy the blessings of ten grandchildren.

Before planting Core Church, Steve served as an associate pastor at Harvest Christian Fellowship under Pastor Greg Laurie for 15 years. Today, his teaching ministry reaches even further through daily and weekly radio broadcasts aired on multiple stations across the country.

Steve’s life and ministry are defined by his unwavering dedication to the truth of Scripture and his desire to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel.
