As we move toward Good Friday and Easter, let us not be fickle like the crowds who shouted “Hosanna” on Sunday and “Crucify Him” by Friday. Instead, may we respond to Christ’s total commitment to us with our own wholehearted devotion to Him.

– Be Ready to Move in the Power of the Holy Spirit: God hasn’t called us to serve in the power of our own weakness but promises that His power is made perfect in our weakness. Whether through Palm Sunday, Good Friday, or Easter Sunday outreach, now is the time to invest in eternal souls, pointing others to Jesus who alone can bring hope in the midst of chaos.

As we approach this Easter season, let’s ask ourselves: Will we pray? Will we be available to share the hope of Jesus with those around us? Our mission field is only 36 inches away. Let’s not squander the greatest message of all humanity by keeping silent when multitudes stand in the valley of decision.

– Prayer is Our Ultimate Weapon: While all the armor is essential, prayer is the secret weapon that activates everything else. We are called to pray at all times, in all situations, bringing every care and concern to our Heavenly Father. Prayer is our constant conversation with God, and it’s through prayer that we tap into His eternal power to help us in our time of need.

As we move forward this week, let us be encouraged to examine your life honestly. Are you grounded in God’s truth? Are you living righteously? Are you sharing the gospel of peace? Are you walking in faith? Most importantly, are you praying without ceasing? The battle is real, but our God is greater, and He has equipped us with everything we need for victory.

Let’s commit this week to applying these truths in our relationships. If you’re married, ask God to show you one specific way you can better love or respect your spouse. If you’re single, prepare your heart now to honor these vows when the time comes. And remember, the same grace God extends to us is the grace we must extend to our spouses.

Rather than causing us to live in fear or depression, this reality should awaken us to live with purpose, wisdom, and joy. We explored three key areas: walking with wisdom in a spiritually sleeping world, being continually filled with the Holy Spirit’s power, and living a life characterized by genuine joy and thanksgiving. Let us examine whether we’re wasting our lives on temporary things or investing in eternity, and to make ourselves available as instruments in God’s hands during these critical days.

Takeaways:
– Wake up and walk with wisdom. We cannot afford to be spiritually asleep while the world around us abandons God. We must be alert, making the most of our time, understanding that tomorrow is not guaranteed. The question we must ask ourselves is: Are we allowing our faith to breathe and come alive, or is it confined to Sunday mornings? God desires all people to be saved, and we must be His voice of reason and warning to those around us.
– Be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. While we receive the Holy Spirit at conversion, we need regular “refills” of His power and influence in our lives. This means dying to ourselves, surrendering to God’s will, pursuing purity, and not grieving the Spirit through habitual sin. We must examine our hearts honestly: Is there anything—even “good things” like hobbies or sports—that is consuming our time and robbing us of becoming who God has called us to be? Don’t waste or squander your high calling.
– Live with overflowing joy and thanksgiving. When we are filled with the Spirit, joy naturally flows from our lives. We encourage one another, sing praises to the Lord, and give thanks in all circumstances. This isn’t manufactured happiness but the fruit of being refreshed by God’s power and ready to be used by Him. Our joy becomes a testimony to others and creates a welcoming atmosphere that draws people to Christ.

As we look ahead to Christ’s return, let’s not be found sleeping. Let’s make every day count for eternity, continually seeking fresh anointing from the Holy Spirit, and living with a joy that can only come from knowing our redemption draws near.

Remember, God sees you as the finished product—what you can become when filled with and led by the Holy Spirit. Don’t let another day pass without being ready to shine His light in this dark world.

This week, consider what “stuff” you might be holding onto that’s working against your relationship with God. Remember, we can never outgive God or have more fun than His blessings provide.
May we all walk worthy of the calling we have received in Christ Jesus.

The good news is that we were created with a God-shaped void that only He can fill. Through Christ’s sacrifice, we can experience the strengthening power of the Holy Spirit, the fullness of God’s love, and His ability to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all we could ask or imagine.

– We are strengthened by His power within us – The Holy Spirit living in us is God’s seal and guarantee, giving us power to live for Him, to stand when we fall, and to keep moving forward even in hardship and defeat.

– God is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all we ask or think – When we make the Lord our Shepherd and find our contentment in Him first, He unlocks the gates of prayer and enables us to move in His attributes, sharing with others what He has done for us.

This week, be encouraged to pause when you feel that longing for “more” and ask yourself: Am I seeking fulfillment in things that can never satisfy, or am I drawing closer to the One who fills every void?
